The young Korean baritone Han Sung Yoo and the Sri Lankan soprano Kishani Jayasinghe will appear on 24 May. Han Sung Yoo was the winner of the International Vocal Competition 2008 and was awarded six prizes in all. The press described him as ‘A baritone who demonstrated that he can present himself on the greatest opera stages' (Algemeen Dagblad), ‘A singer of the first rank - possibly a star in the making' (de Volkskrant). Kishani Javasinghe won the Arleen Auger prize for all-around musicianship in the same competition. They will perform popular arias by Mozart, Rossini and Verdi and will be accompanied on the piano by Andrew Wise.
