Born in Miami, Cuban-American baritone Ernesto TresPalacios is an accomplished singer of opera, art song recital and musical theatre, whose professional career spans throughout Europe and the United States. Mr. TresPalacios completed his musical education at the Florida State University. He has studied in Milan with distinguished soprano Adriana Maliponte, and at the Rivoltella del Garda academy of music with soprano Katia Ricciarelli.
Mr. TresPalacios has performed with the New York Repertory Company, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Opéra de Lille, Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris, Opera Fuoco, the Miami Bach Society, Sibelius Camerata, and at Merkin Hall and the Bruno Walter Auditorium at Lincoln Center in New York. Operatic roles include: Conte in Nozze di Figaro, Guglielmo in Così fan tutte, Nardo in La Finta Giardiniera, Apollo in Semele, Clem in The Little Sweep by Britten, the Horloge Comtoise in L'enfant et les sortilèges, Ramiro in L'heure espagnole, and the title role in Monteverdi's L'Orfeo. Additionally, he has performed in Handel's Hercules, Bizet's Djamileh, Caldara's La Passione, Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor and Handel's Apollo e Daphne. Mr. TresPalacios is a top prize winner of the International Teresa Berganza Vocal Competition at Clermont-Ferrand, as well as the IBLA competition in Sicily. He currently lives in Düsseldorf.
