Revolt Athens offers an impressionist journey around the social and political actuality in Athens. The recent economic crisis has done the city's image little good. All too often it is associated with stagnation, poverty, and decay. Revolt Athens puts it in a different light. The city is shown as an experimental garden where the residents fight decline and deterioration through sustainable initiatives. Live music, visuals, and theatrical installations intersect in a unique way in Revolt Athens. The performance juxtaposes many extremes. For instance Monteverdi and Elvis, arias and soundscapes, classical antiquity and modern urbanity.
