The first edition of the festival Mamif took place in the Italian village Servigliano from 14 through 17 September 2017. The festival is a collaboration between Operadagen Rotterdam and various partners from the Italian province of Marche. Well-known artists from the Netherlands performed including Claron McFadden and Nora Fischer. A larger version of Mamif was planned for 2016 but a series of destructive earthquakes made this impossible. Operadagen Rotterdam will use the proceeds of the first edition to support the stricken area and facilitate a fully-fledged festival edition in the future. The second edition is in August 2018.
